When It's Dangerous On The Road

Tallahassee Auto Accident Attorneys

Have You Been Injured in a Car Accident?

While vehicles are made safer every year, human behavior is becoming more reckless. Distracted driving causes more crashes per year than drunk driving. Recent changes to the law make recovering for your injuries in a car wreck difficult if not impossible if you don't strictly comply with the new requirements. When someone's lack of attention wrecks your life, call us and let us walk you through the difficult legal process and get you back on the road to recovery.

That’s what we do for our clients at Fasig | Brooks. With many years of experience litigating auto accident cases, our Tallahassee auto accident lawyers listen to our clients’ needs, evaluate the facts of their cases, and get them the just and swift compensation they deserve.

Find out how we can help you. Call (850) 583-9409 for a free car accident case evaluation.

Our Car Accident Lawyers can help

Based in Tallahassee, our car accident lawyers have handled thousands of accident cases, recovering millions of dollars for clients. We take on cases in Orlando, Tallahassee, and across Florida. We pride ourselves on our client-centered approach:

  • We know what matters. Many things happen in the moments leading to and following a motor vehicle accident. We know what’s most important and can sift through all the facts to assemble a clear and compelling timeline of events.
  • We focus on your specific needs. We know that an accident dramatically can impact a client’s life. We listen to clients and get to know exactly how they’ve been affected. It’s a natural part of getting clients the compensation they’ll need to be able to move past the damage they’ve suffered.
  • We have experience that counts. We know that having a case and making that case are not the same. We’ve been making the case for thousands of clients throughout Florida and getting them what they’ll need to rebuild their lives.

Driving is an integral part of life for most residents of Tallahassee. Unfortunately, while many trips both in and out of the city may be devoid of problems, encountering a negligent motorist can lead to an auto accident resulting in devastating property damage and serious personal injury.

Of course, if an auto accident, whether with a car, truck, or motorcycle, was the result of another driver’s neglect, you may have legal recourse to recover compensation for the damage caused to you or your property. Make sure to consider involving our Tallahassee car accident attorneys before you submit a claim.

Florida is a No-Fault Insurance State

It is important to understand that Florida is a “no-fault” state when it comes to car accidents and the question of liability. This ultimately means that those injured in an auto accident may pursue a claim with their own insurance provider via their personal injury protection (PIP) to recover compensation for medical bills.

IMPORTANT: In early 2013, Florida enacted a set of strict PIP laws, which force injured parties to seek medical treatment soon after being involved in a motor vehicle accident – 14 days from the date of the event to be exact. Any delays in seeking emergency or non-emergency medical care from insurance-specified licensed medical physicians can reduce an injured party’s PIP benefits to zero.

Those who suffer property damage may file a liability claim against an at-fault driver, though, and those who suffer serious and permanent injury may pursue a bodily injury liability claim against the other driver.

Consult with a Tallahassee Auto Accident Attorney Today

Filing an auto accident claim may seem like a daunting process, and some may choose to avoid the process altogether. If you have sustained property damage or serious injury in a wreck in Tallahassee, Orlando, or anywhere in Florida, speak an auto accident attorney at Fasig | Brooks today.

We can help walk you through the necessary steps, and gather all of the necessary information you need in order to present a claim. Or, if a settlement offered isn’t adequate, we can continue negotiations and/or begin the process of filing a personal injury lawsuit.

Don’t hesitate to contact us by calling (850) 583-9409.
